Stick the thermo-wobbler on a wall or fridge to monitor the room temperature in your house.
If the temperature on your thermo-wobbler is too high, lower the settings on your radiators, boiler or thermostat. If the temperature is too low, either put on a jumper or raise the settings.
N.B. Be careful not to lower the temperature too much if very young or very old people live in your house. They can suffer from hypothermia if the temperature is below 14˚C.
Other than that, a good old fashioned cuddle always warms the cockles, and sharing bodily warmth is also a great way to remind someone that you love them. If everyone in the UK decided to cuddle instead of turning up the thermostat, we would not only save a whole lot of energy, we’d also be a much more peaceful place. So go on. Spread the warmth. There are plenty of other ways to reduce your energy consumption and heating bills. Make sure your doors and windows are fully draught-proofed, get your loft and walls insulated and replace your old boiler with a new, energy efficient one. All these can be expensive, but you’ll find that energy companies will subsidise you, and in some cases pay for everything, depending on what income bracket you find yourself in.
