Estimates as to how much these panels can save you range from £2.63 per radiator to £48 per year, if installed throughout the house. Why not test this out yourself and let us know? Other than installing these, you can do more to maximise the heat you get from your radiators. Don’t put furniture or curtains in front of them, and fit thermostatic radiator valves to regulate the heat you get from each radiator - they're cheap, simple and effective.

1. First find a suitable radiator. The panels are best installed in the most commonly-used rooms like your sitting room or bedroom. To maximise their effectiveness put them behind radiators on exterior walls (those that face the outside).
2. Run a feather duster behind the radiator to remove any excess dust. If there’s too much dust behind the radiator then the panels might not stay stuck there.
3. Make sure the panels fit behind your radiator. We’ve already cut them to save you the hassle, but you might need to trim them a little more.
4. Use the double-sided sticky tape on the back of the panels to stick them between the radiator and the wall. If you can read the writing on the panels, then you have them the right way up, if not, turn them around. The top of the panels should sit about 2cm below the top of the radiator, so it stays just out of eyeline.
5. Slip the other panel alongside it, and you’re done!
